Who I AMI am a poetry reciter, and can recite from memory most poems requested. In particular, elderly people who might have little interaction with others can often be prompted to remember the words of poems from their childhoods and young adulthoods. I hope this can give as much pleasure as hearing of music from a past time.
I have appeared reciting poetry requests from memory on national radio and TV (Radio 4's Word of Mouth, Radio 2's Jeremy Vine programme, CBS TV, the Arte Channel and many other stations), and published a book of my experiences reciting poetry (The People's Favourite Poems, Old St 2018). POETRY RECITING SERVICESIf you would be interested in my coming in to recite poetry to your residents, or to people in any other context (a party, an outdoor event, a birthday) I can travel free of charge to any Norfolk location, although I would charge a travel fee outside this area.
